Mountains & Castles

Anglesey isn’t just about beaches; it also offers some fascinating places of interest. You can visit the iconic South Stack Lighthouse and nearby Penmon Lighthouse which is also a perfect fishing spot. Explore the Neolithic tombs at Lligwy and Bryn Celli Ddu, and take in the beauty of the unfinished castle of Beaumaris. If wine is your thing, try Red Wharf Bay Vineyard. For adrenaline, drive at Trac Môn, or if you prefer, try jumping off the cliffs at Trearddur Bay for coasteering. There’s even an escape room at Mr. Holt’s Chocolate Factory in Llangefni. For watersports, Rhosneigr is a hub for kitesurfing and paddleboarding. You can take a walk around Parys Mountain, once the largest copper mine, admiring its out-of-this-world colors. Beyond Anglesey, explore the stunning mountains of Snowdonia, where you can take a train up Snowdon if you don’t fancy hiking, or join guided tours to jump in plunge pools and climb waterfalls in the gorges. Also not to be missed are the incredible castles of Caernarfon and Conwy nearby. So, whatever you fancy, there’s always something to do here.
